Making tags can be a real challenge as the surface is too small for a real cluster and Mixed Media textures. So I found this way to make a double tag whin the background larger tag and the add- on of the smaller top tag and then you have the surface you need to add textures， colors and embellishments. But them with green only colors and almost nothing from CCB in green in my stash it was a real challenge for the challenge post and I think that I like the final result.I used cream and white cardstock peaces and quite a few Tattered Angels paints and mists to make it totally green and still shiny and sparkle.

Today’s post is actually an “Ask Jenny” question I got from a readers’ comment. Someone asked how to make a ribbon flower, so I thought that “Technique Week” would be a great time to show you a great shabby chic rose you can put on cards, gifts, or even make into jewelry. (More on that coming soon!) In the meanwhile, let’s get started!
Sometimes I find it challenging to commit to a line of product. I want to play with it, but I do not want to invest in buying the entire thing. I adore the Media Packs from Canvas Corp Brands. Each pack comes with a variety of products without an overwhelming amount that drives the cost up. I always can get a lot of use from them. I was able to create six cards with leftovers in which I made Artistic Trading Cards.? The “Compose Your Life” line is a stunner! Not only are the images gorgeous, but they are printed on watercolor paper in which you can add your own touch. For this project I did pull in two additional sheets from the line, but not part of the pack to create the embellishments. I also used a few Tattered Angel Glimmer Mists from my stash on the textured wood paper as well as the tags.
Spend 30 years in the home-decor industry, and you develop a pretty defined set of design truths and tricks, not to mention an incredible eye for what works—not what’s trendy or what other designers are doing, but which elements combine to make a memorable room design. Joan Osofsky is one of these erudite experts. A former teacher and suburban New Jersey mom, she always loved antiques and decorating, but never thought about pursuing them as a profession. That changed once she and her husband bought a home in upstate New York, with a nearby old horse barn, complete with crumbling floors, rusty fixtures, and broken windows. “I looked around and thought, It’s perfect,” Joan recalls. I saw a vision.”personalized gifts for girlfriend
